Everything but the Kitschen Sync

These will be in the Everything but the Kitschen Syncgroup show at La Luz de Jesus on Hollywood. Reception is Friday March 3rd 8-11pm. We won't be able to make it, we'll be in Seattle. Judging by last year, I'm sure there's going to be a lot of great art.

stuff..

Heres an illustration I did for Bust Magazine. I don't think this is on our site...

Also, La Weekly did a nice review of the Disney Remix show.

This is for BlueBottle. Opening reception...March 4th.

Fare Trade.... and a reminder.

This will be at BlueBottle.

Also, the Disney Remix show at 1988 is coming up on Friday, this is going to be a big show, and I guarantee it will be crowded. If you've been checking out our blog you've seen the pile of stuff we've been working on, we'll have paintings and sculptures and prints. 1988 is a great gallery, and yes Disney knows about this event. So, go!

Little painting for BlueBottle in Seattle.

babe

I finished just in time for the show on Friday at 1988. We got to see some of the other art when we dropped off, and being a card carrying Disney geek (we both have annual passes) I can truly say everything looks really amazing.
In case you don't know this is inspired by the 1958 short "Paul Bunyan".

Werewolf vs. Vampire

In March I will be in Seattle for a solo show at BlueBottle Gallery. Here's a painting for it.

Something for the table.

I'm really glad that the first artist we plug is Tony Fucile. If you're not a major animation geek you might not know him, he's fairly illusive. He's an animator, character designer etc. at Pixar. He's just illustrated Jack Jack Attack, a Goldenbook. If you want to see more of his work check out The Art of the Incredibles book. We owe Tony and his wife Stacey so much, they're responsible for teaching us about the art we love, and really giving us our sensibilities. Tony is an inspiration. I can't put into words how appealing his designs are.

Also there are online stores up for our last two shows, Plush Week and Nostradamus. I think they are both going to be updated, but for now there's lots of good stuff to see.

Plush Week is a success! Thanks to everyone who came, there was a whole lot of great art to see. Also, thanks to everyone who has been adding us as a link on their sites. We really rely on emails and mailing lists, and word of mouth. It really makes a difference.
Thanks!

People keep asking me what I paint with.. Cel vinyl acrylic, it's what they paint animation cels with. Its acrylic paint, but its runny and doesn't really get translucent.

Close Call

.. Just a painting.
Ooh. it occurred to me, maybe you can't tell what size these are. I think this painting is like an inch and a half wide. A lot of the ones I'm posting are pretty small.

real simple

a couple months ago amanda did a bunch of illustrations for real simple magazine about travel. this was my favorite one and they didin't use it.
